I worked on the early exploration phase of Moods internal project Shadow Protocol — back when the project leaned more heavily into a wet, Lovecraftian-inspired direction. It was a space where mood, mystery, and world logic had to go hand in hand, and I focused on shaping the tone through layout sketches, environmental storytelling, and callouts.
This phase was all about asking big questions: How do we hint at something ancient beneath the surface? How do environments suggest strange happenings in the town? I loved building onto the visual language and how we could achieve this mysterious and supernatural feel.
As always, I really enjoy shaping environments with story and player experience at the core — especially when I get to collaborate with such talented artists.
